HAPPY 10th BIRTHDAY RACHEL!

For Rachel's Birthday she really wanted to go to Red Robins and eat. We invited the family to all come. It was really nice because everybody did come. When I asked her a week or more ago what she wanted to do this was one thing that she specifically asked to do. It was so good. I love the food and who can't resist the bottomless stake fries. Red Robin actually opened just after Christmas, so it was the first time going to the one here.

For your Birthday they bring out balloons and a sundae and sing a song to you. In this video I wish that I had moved over more so I could have seen her face better. She was embarrassed a little too.

Here is Rachel with her presents. Notice all of the Hannah Montana paper. She once again got again got a bunch of Hannah Montana gifts. She got the Hannah Montana Beach hut, a guitar that is like guitar hero but it is Hannah Montana songs. She also got new Hannah Montana boots that were really cute. She got three pairs of jeans which were much needed. She was excited to get them because she really wanted new jeans. Annelise and Boyd gave her this awesome necklace with bracelets and a journal with a matching pen. She also got a really pretty shirt and leggings (see last picture). She got money too from her Aunts and Uncles. She is so excited because she also got money from a friend for her birthday. She is saving the money up for something. She ins't sure what but is excited to have lots of money now.

For her cake we did ice cream come cupcakes. I didn't decorate them because the kids all got to decorate their own. For the adults we had a gluten free strawberry shortcake that was so yummy.

Jacob decorating his cupcake.

All the kids decorating their cupcakes.

Rachel in her new shirt (she wore it with jeans instead of leggings so she wouldn't be cold). She is also wearing her new necklace.

Thank you everybody got making this birthday special. Rachel loved her gifts, cards and phone calls. She felt really special on her birthday. After wards she said that it was the best birthday ever. She said that she loved it so much. So thank you all.

It's a Party

Rachel on January 30th had her friends birthday Party. It was so much fun. We did a movie theme party. I spent many hours the day before decorating the basement. I took Christmas lights and placed them allover downstairs. I strung them from the ceiling and put them on the entertainment center. Then hanging from the lights I hung stars. I also hung curtains between the family room and playroom downstairs. I added a red carpet (red table cloth) for them to walk on as they came downstairs and into the room. It looked so awesome. I also had a table set up with drinks in ice, carrots sticks and celery sticks in ranch dressing, chips, peanuts and pizza. I also made a really cool cake. I made a clapper cake that said "Take 10" on it. I loved how the place looked. I would have loved a party like this as a kid.

All the girls drew names out of a pile of 30 names or so and that was the character that they were to be in the movie they were making. Instead of watching a movie the girls were the actors/actresses in a movie they were going to make and then after they made the movie they would watch it. Some of the names they girls picked were: Pedro, Spiderman, Miley Cyrus, Cinderella, Jane (from Tarzan), Sleeping beauty, Cruella De'Vil, Nick Jonas, Elasta Girl. I don't remember what the other names were. Enoch and I had fun coming up with the characters names.

Jacob was the ninja well actually Nick Jonas and this was his outfit.

Rachel opening one of her presents. She got the Jonas Brothers newest CD in this picture. I have never seen somebody get more Hannah Montana stuff in my life. Her friends really know how much she loves Hannah Montana so all but three got her something Hannah Montana. The crazy thing was that she didn't get one duplicate. I was so impressed. She got everything from Miley babrie, Oliver doll (boy barbie), stuff for hair, books, purse that lights up, bath stuff, Hannah Montana journal and pen that sings. She loved everything. She was really spoiled from all of her friends.

The group of girls at her party and Jacob.

Rachel and her cake.

Ready to blow out the candles

Rachel's friends singing Happy Birthday to her.

The girls eating popcorn and watching the movies they made. The girls also did commercials and talk shows. The talk shows were about people with weird fears. Some of the fears were afraid of bubbles, paper, the color green, money, bunnies, food. It was fun to watch. All the girls seemed to have a fun time. At the end of the party when all the girls left they went home with a box of junior mints or junior carmels or Zours (movie theater size) and a package of microwave popcorn. We put them in a gift bag with a little note saying thanks for coming. Aftwerwards Rachel kept saying how much fun she had and that it was the best birthday ever. I enjoyed myself too especially because I left it mostly up to the girls to do stuff. I would come down once in a while to supervise and then ofcourse to film.

Helping Hand

Kaelen loves everything that we use the most and do the most. He loves the remote. He will grab it and point it at the TV. We have given him old remotes but he soon figures out that pushing the buttons does nothing. Kaelen loves the dishwasher as well. When the kids empty it he wants to help. When ever we have it open he pulls the silverware out even if it is dirty. He loves it. At times we have to open it only a fraction of the way and drop the silverwear in quickly before Kaelen comes and tries to open it. He gets so mad when you move him away. Here are pictures of him helping Rachel and Jacob unload it the other day.

Kaelen starting to help empty the dishwasher.

He can't reach the silverware very well from the position he was in so it is easier to climb on the door.

It is just easier to sit all the way on the door.

Twin Boys

Kaelen and Jacob have a few shirts that are exactly the same. Jacob loves to wear them the same day as Kaelen. Jacob also wants to wear matching pajamas too. When he gets dressed in the morning or before bed he always says that he wants to match with Kaelen. Here are a few pictures of the boy in their outfits.

Matching striped PJ's

My two boys in matching striped shirts. I love this picture of the boys playing ball together. Kaelen loves to play ball. I also love Rachel in the background poking her head around the corner.

They will wear these shirts to church at times and wear similar ties.

I need to get more pictures of them in the other shirts and pajamas that they have the same. When I get them I will post them.

Father and Son Outing

Once a month Enoch will take Jacob or Rachel out on a date. So every other month the kids go out with Dad for some one on one time. The kids get to pick what they want to do. Well January was Jacob's month. What he really wanted to do was go snow sledding. Luckily it really snowed the day before and the day of. Jacob had so much fun. These are pictures and videos from the afternoon and evening of snow sledding. Jacob picked the location too of where he wanted to go snow sledding. They went up to Grandpa and Grandma Heileson's and went snow sledding in their yard. I love what Enoch has started. Rachel is already excited to go in February. Soon even Kaelen will be going on dates with his Dad.

Jacob and Enoch taking pictures of themselves.

Very Rosy cheeked Jacob

This is a video of Enoch filming while going down the hill.

Enoch and Jacob built a jump to go over while sledding. Jacob was the first to go over it. He was so brave. The tube had a hard time going over it. It is so funny to watch Jacob and Enoch's reactions.

This is a hilarious video. I don't know what is funnier, watching Jacob fly through the air or Enoch laughing at him.

Kaelen 9 months Old

Kaelen is 9 months old now. Well actually he will be 10 months in two weeks. He is getting so big. He weighs 19lbs 8 oz. He is so much fun. He makes us laugh all the time. He loves balls. He actually knows how to throw balls as well as chase them around and push them. It is the most amazing thing. He will push the ball around the house. He will crawl to it, push it, chase after it, push it again and then chase after it. He will do that for quite a while as well. The other amazing thing is that when you hold his fingers he will walk around and kick the ball. I am not sure where he learned to do that but he knows how to kick it. He will actually lift his leg to kick the ball. It is so cool. We will post a video soon of him playing with the ball. Kaelen also will pull himself up against everything. He actually was playing with a tall standing lamp the other day and he knocked it over and broke it. Nice. Kaelen also will be told not to do something and he will smile at you and go do what he was just told not to do. He will wait till you are looking at him them smile and head for something he isn't supposed to touch. He is already trying to be defiant. He also in the last few weeks has gotten good at sitting from a standing position. Before he would just drop down really hard or stay standing and cry till you lowered him down but he actually now can lower himself down.

Kaelen loves the stairs. He loves climbing up them and thinks that he can climb down them. He will go head first and start reaching down them. He has actually fallen down the stairs a couple of times. We have a gate that goes at the top of the stairs but there has been a few times where it was not put up right a way and he went down the stairs. Really sad. The funny thing is that the last time he fell down the stairs he sat near the gate and cried. He really wanted to go downstairs. He loves being downstairs playing with Rachel and Jacob.

Kaelen will copy the kids all the time. If they scream or growl he will do it too. It is so funny.

Kaelen standing at the stairs. He looks so big in this picture to me.

He is teething so he loves to chew on things. Especially shirts. He will actually chew on your shirt while you are holding him. He also at times has chewed on our pant legs. You have to be careful though because he bites really hard.

I love this picture of him. He was asleep in my bed and was waking up. This was the position he was sleeping in. So cute.

Kaelen is finally somewhat letting us read books to him. Before he would grab the book right out of your hands and wouldn't let you hold it or turn the pages. Now we have a couple of minutes before he pulls it from us. He really likes this book because he gets to see the dogs move their legs and tails and also feel things. (Thanks Juleene and David) He loves dogs. He gets excited when he see's Bernie and also when he see's another dog.

Not eating dairy has gone down the tube. Enoch gave him ice cream the other day and yesterday Jacob gave him a Gogurt. Well after I took it away Kaelen was so mad he started to scream and shake. I gave in and ended up giving him his own to have. He LOVED it.

In this video you can't see him very well but I love him saying "Da Da." He say's Dad all the time. It is so cute. He was laying on his change table while we were filming this and he has a mobile that he plays with. That was what was in the video.

We sure love our little boy. He isn't sleeping through the night at all. The last two nights he has been up around 12 times. He is cutting a tooth. You can feel all the sharp bumps from the tooth. I am sure that it will be through today or tomorrow. So he will have his first tooth. It's about time because we thought that it would have come through months ago. We are hoping that maybe he will sleep after this tooth and the one next to it comes in. Oh wait, no by then more will be coming in. So I figure I will not get sleep for another year. Oh well. At least when Kaelen isn't sleeping he is happy. He is happy when he doesn't take a nap and doesn't sleep at night. He is never really cranky. I guess we can't complain too much. It would be really bad if he never slept and was cranky.

Playing with Morgan and Ainsley

This last Christmas and after New Years we were so lucky to have Morgan, Ainsley, Noal and Wendy come and stay with us. The kids had so much fun. Rachel, Jacob and Morgan played out in the snow together and slept in the same bed each night Morgan slept over. Kaelen and Ainsley loved playing together. They are so close in age that they are doing almost the same things so they can keep up with each other. They seemed to want to grab at each other and most times one of them would start to cry. While Noal, Wendy, Morgan and Ainsley were around we all went and saw a movie together. We saw Marley and Me. It was fun to look over and see the kids totally laughing together. It was an adventure watching the movie with three kids and two babies. By the end of the movie Morgan and Jacob had completely moved and Rachel was sitting a few seats down from everybody all by herself. I love how kids seems to sit through a whole movie at times and other times they will move around. We enjoyed the movie despite babies being sad and kids moving around. We always love having family around. We love that we have family close by and that our kids have cousins to play with.

Kids playing in the snow.

Noal holding Ainsley and Kaelen. Ainsley was waving in the picture.

Ainsely and Kaelen playing together.

Playing with toys in the basket.

The kids sleeping together. I still don't know how they sleep and move around so much and not hurt each other.

This was so funny to watch Ainsley crawl under and through the chairs. Kaelen wasn't very happy in the background while we filmed this.
