September 21-27

Monday September 21st-Had to drive Rachel to school this morning and lucky for me Kaelen and I were both dressed so at 8:30 in the morning we went to target and Walmart. I found some backpacks for 75% off. I got some for Rachel and then for our 72 hour kits. So excited. Canned pickles today. Nothing seemed to go right. I ran out of dill. One jar came open while processing and I had dill and vinegar in the processing water and then when I went to do it over I ran out of vinegar. So what should have taken 1 hour took 5 hours. I only got 8 jars out of it too. Picked Rachel up from Robotics, took her to piano and then took her back to school for a jump rope class as well as a birthday party combined. Lots of driving. Enoch planted a bunch of shrubs for me. 7 in total. For FHE we got McDonald's hot fudge Sundays and then sat around the table eating them while I read a story from the friend. I fell asleep at 9PM. Oh i loved that.

Tuesday September 22- Wow it is amazing how long you can spend on the computer doing nothing. I felt like I didn't do much today while the kids were at school. Kaelen on;y took a 20 minute nap as well. When the kids got home from school we were all going to go on a bike ride. They were not very good and so that didn't happen. I was really sad. I started canning pears today and once again one of my jars bottoms burst off. I was so ticked off. I was happy that Enoch was home because he took care of the mess for me. I decided for about 10 minutes yesterday that I was never canning again. Ok not true but I still really don't get excited anymore. I know how much work it is. Kaelen went to bed at 7:00 last night. I thought that he would wake up an hour or more later. Nope never did. Spent the rest of the evening after canning getting stuff ready for Achievement Day Girls on Wednesday.

Wednesday September 23rd-Kaelen slept 12 1/2 hours last night. That is amazing. I am hoping now that he will sleep better. We'll see. Just before I got into the shower this morning I got him a sippy cup. He went back to sleep and then after coming out of the bathroom and getting dressed I heard him laughing and talking with Jacob. What a lovely noise to hear first thing in the morning. I love happy kids in the morning. I don't get that very often so when I do it is like music to my ears. Canned the last of my pears. Yes I am done with pears. Spent two hours cleaning my sticky kitchen while Kaelen slept most of the time. Of course after everybody got home it was not very clean anymore. We all rode our bikes to activity days. WOW it is hard to pull two kids in the bike trailer. What a work out. Activity Days was fun. I came home with some fun book titles to read. By 7:30 in the evening I was exhausted and ready for bed. Too bad I didn't get to go to bed then. Oh well c'est la vie.

Thursday September 24th-Nope Kaelen was really bad last night. Oh well I got one good night of sleep this week at least. I spent an hour on Amazon and bought 4 books and 1 movie. Yahoo. I spent a lot of the day just getting things done around the house. I did get my bathrooms cleaned and was pretty ticked off when I walked in later in the day and Jacob and Kaelen had filled the sink with soapy water and then splashed it all over the mirrors, counter tops and wall. Kaelen as well was covered in water and soap. Jacob had decided that Kaelen needed his hair washed. A few words that I can't repeat came out of my mouth. The best part was that just as I said them Wendy answered the phone. Good thing it was Wendy and not the bishop.

Friday September 25th-I got up this morning before 6 AM and went running. It is so dark outside at this time in the morning. I ran with a friend. We ran just over 4 miles. My knee started to hurt during so a few times we had to walk. Stupid knee. I love running so it better not get worse. I haven't run for almost two months and so I think running over 4 was a little too much. I went and helped out in Jacob's class this morning. Jacob now sits in a desk near the wall instead of at a table because he talks all the time I guess. His teacher said that he is one of the smartest in the class but loves to talk and get distracted so he takes a long time getting any work done. When he is not distracted he does his work faster than most of the students. She said that she thinks he gets bored and so he talks. I am glad that she recognized that. I am sure he is. I love Jacob. Even while I was there a few times she had to ask Jacob if that is what he was supposed to be doing. So funny. That is Jacob though. He is so social as well as smart. In the evening Enoch went on a camp out for scouts and I went to the school with the kids to watch E.T projected on the school wall outside. It was so much fun. We wrapped ourselves up in sleeping bags and ate cotton candy and popcorn while we watched the movie. I loved it. Such a fun idea the school had.

Saturday September 26th- I went to a baby shower in the morning. Cleaned the house during the day. Went to Costco and bought a new camera. I thought that i had a memory card for it but found out after i got home that I didn't or I used to and now can't find it. I love my new Canon though. Rachel and I went to a baptism at 5 for a little girl in our ward who is 9 and wanted to be baptized. She was in my Achievement Day girls group last year and we actually taught her to pray at one of the activities. We asked who wanted to say the prayer and she said that she did but didn't know how. We told her what to say and then she ended up saying the most beautiful prayer that I had ever heard. I cried when she said it. From then on at every activity she wanted to say the prayer. She has been taking the missionary discussions and then on Saturday she was baptized. It was so wonderful for her family to be there to support her. She is an only child and lives with her Grandma. Her Mom attended the baptism and cried. I am sure that she will be a great instrument in bringing her family to the church. She is the sweetest little girl. After the baptism I went to the Relief Society broadcast. I loved it. During the broadcast I was a little sad that my sisters could not be there to watch it with me but then had the nice thought to know that even though they were not next to me watching it I knew that we were all watching it together at the same time but in different places. I did though have Rachael and Lindsay come with me. We after wards have a chocolate extravaganza. There is tables of all kinds of fudge, brownies, cakes, you name it they have it as long as it is chocolate. They also have a chocolate fountain with fruit and other fun things to dip into it. I love it. I ate three plates and went home after with a headache because of all the sugar. It was amazing.

Sunday September 27th-We went to church and once again I didn't get to go to Relief Society. Kaelen slept during Sunday school and then 5 minutes into RS he woke up and was screaming and crying. I took him out into the hall and when he calmed down I took him back in. Nope he screamed again so finally I took him to nursery. He wasn't sure what he thought and it took a long time for him to get off my lap. He is officially 18 months this next week. After church Boyd and Annelise came over for dinner and desert to celebrate Boyd's birthday. I made Cafe Rio's pulled pork for dinner with their lime rice and ranch and guacamole. It was amazing. I love that dinner even though it takes a little more prep and work than most meals. So worth it. Everybody loved it. For desert we had one of Boyd's favorites. I made chocolate banana cream pie with moraine on the top. It was really good and completely gluten free so Enoch could eat it. It was really yummy. Oh yes we also had real whipping cream on top. After we played a game of Bananagrams. Thanks again Noal and Wendy. We had a fun evening together and I think that Boyd enjoyed his birthday celebration. Oh yah after we ate Kaelen got on the tramp to jump and Enoch laid under the tramp and would kick the tramp from under neath. Kaelen would just sit and just fly in the air so high. When he got out of reach of Enoch he would move over till Enoch could bounce him in the air more. We all including Kaelen laughed so hard. Annelise took pictures and videos so I will have to get those back from her. It was so funny.

Week of September 14-20

Monday September 14-Rachel and Jacob had early realease today. Not sure what I think of that. The kids come home way too early when that happens. Rachel had piano lessons. She sure loves piano. We bought plants at Home Depot for $2.50 each (love good deals) and were going to plant them and it totally rained in the evening. That sucks.

Tuesday September 15-spent many hours on the phone and computer really doing nothing. Very lazy day. Kids were awful and I wanted to send them to their rooms for the rest of the evening without dinner. Kids For Sale.

Wednesday September 16-Took Jacob to get his hair cut for the 2nd time in his life. He did great. Absolutly no crying and he only kinked his neck to the side three times. I also got my hair cut to look like Victoria Beckhams. I love it and was going to take a picture of it to send to everybody but I wanted to fix my hair to my liking first.

Thursday September 17-My camera broke today. Ahh that sucks. So sorry no pictures of my hair. Went to book club tonight. Rachel babysat for an hour while Enoch was at a meeting and I was at bookclub. We read The hunger games and loved it. We talked about the book that then moved on to computer addictions then pornogography and then to the teacher who recently had an affair with a student. Blahh. It was a successful bookclub.

Friday September 18-went to help in Jacob's class. So fun to watch Jacob and how he is in class. That boy loves to talk. Went visiting teaching and then hung out at home. Kids played with friends and then in the evening we went to watch Grandpa Heileson talk at a POW meeting. Enoch took the kids to Applebee's while I was at a handgun safety class. Very entertaining. Most everybody was from Enoch's work. Oops said too much. Loved the class. We learned all about the parts of hand guns and how to load, fire them and then empty them. Afterwards watch Boise State play football. I kept wondering why the game was so different then from on the radio. TIVO. Enoch was an hour and a half behind watching. Fun game

Saturday September 19th-We all woke up early to head to Rexburg to the shooting range for my handgun class. Enoch and the kids watched the cowboy shoot off while I did target practice. I have found my favorite gun. I really love the 22 semiatutomatic. I loved shooting it. I also love smaller revolvers. Did a really awesome job. After we went home many people came to get their fruit. We are in the fruit business. Enoch and I were watching BYU play football and Kaelen came and sat down to watch it with us. He never watches TV and he sat for 20 minutes. Then out of knowwhere he said "football" as clear as day. It was so cute and exciting. Kaelen also said "Star" today. Yay Kaelen.

Sunday September 20th-Got up just before 8 AM. Made waffles for the kids. You lucky kids. Then spent an hour getting the roast into the crockpot. We had to dig all the vegtables for dinner from the garden. Yum. We just made it to church just in time. I was excited to go to Relief Socitey today. First time in months. I have been subbing in primary for ever. Well in the middle of Sunday school I got called out and was asked to teach Jacob's class. Jacob's teacher had to leave quickly. She is on call at the hospital in the women's center. So I didn't get to go to RS. Lucky for me the lesson was highlighted and ready to go. I had 5 minutes to prepare for it but it went well. Maybe next week I'll be able to go. Grandpa Heileson came over for dinner. He is all alone and so we fed him again. We played Bananagrams. Thanks Noal and Wendy. At 7 we went to a fireside with this master pianist. It was so awesome. Rachel stick with the piano.

JUMP

Kaelen loves the trampoline and spends many hours on it each day. He is always in the back yard and for a lot of it he spends it on the tramp. He jumps so well for how little he is. I am so surprised at how high he jumps. It is so fun to watch him. We have put footballs and other size balls on the tramp that he loves to play with while he jumps. He is so cute. Kaelen also loves to squish his face into the enclosure netting all the time. It is so funny. I love that we have the net as well because Kaelen can jump all he wants by himself and we don't have to stand next to him watching him all the time. He also loves to run real fast and fall into the enclosure. I could spend hours watching him jump.

Kaelen has such fine baby hair still that all he has to do is lean into something and his hair goes crazy. His hair is so funny when he jumps on the trampoline. I love how high it sticks up.

Rachel and Rachael

When we went to Boise we also had the opportunity to go and visit Rachael Adams and her family. Rachael is Rachel's best friend who moved to Middleton, Idaho 10 months ago. Rachel was so devastated when she moved. We brought Rachael a birthday present. Her birthday was just two weeks before. We spent the afternoon and evening with Cherice, John and their family. It was so much fun. Rachael and Rachael had the best time. They were so sad to say good bye. They actually ran off and hid while we were trying to leave. These are the best pictures of the two of them.


Rachel bought Rachael Heely's We got them for such an amazing deal that we actually only paid $5 more than if we had bought her a toy. Now they both have heely's.

Rachel and Rachael loved playing with Alyssa Rachael's sister. They all had so much fun together.

These pictures are the best pictures. Rachel and Rachael were goofing around while I tired to take one good picture of them. I think that I got 20 or more good pictures.

This middle picture is so cute. Oh I love those two girls.

I am so grateful that Rachel still has Rachael as a best friend even though they live so far a part. They write each other all the time and they call and talk to each other. The Adam's actually have an empty lot next to their home and Rachel is convinced that we need to buy it and build a house on it with a tunnel that will connect to the Adam's house. She has asked many times if we were really rich if I would let her do it.

Fun Moments in Boise

We had so much fun in Boise. I think that the kids had the most fun. They all loved playing together. Here are just some of the cute pictures of the kids and the activities that they did together. We were so grateful for Noal and Wendy for letting us come over and stay in their home. We love being in Boise with them.

Rachel and Morgan had a water fight and then eventually Jacob and Kaelen got all wet and involved. They all had so much fun playing and getting wet. The picture of Morgan and Rachel was a funny picture because right after I took it Morgan dumped the bucket of water on Rachel's head. It was pretty funny.

Morgan, Jacob and Rachel pulled Kaelen and Ainsley around in the wagon. Ainsley and Kaelen had so much fun. I think that Kaelen's favorite part was eating a delayed melting Popsicle. Coolest new invention even though he still got it all over him.

Wendy and Kaelen played in the blinds. It was so cute. I love the blurry picture. I think that it looks cool. Wendy was kissing Kaelen. Kaelen had so much fun playing peek a boo in the blinds. He was giggling. I also love that you can see Wendy smiling through the blinds.

We cannot visit Morgan with out playing the Wii. The kids had so much fun. They were playing boxing in the pictures. It was fun to watch them work so hard to beat each other.

We had the chance to go and pick peaches from a local orchard. They were so cheap and so good. I canned after I got home 50 quarts with what we picked. So nice. The kids liked picking too. I think though that they enjoyed playing in the dirt more though.

Jacob and Morgan ran off and quilt dirt castles. They didn't work very well though.

Kaelen really loved playing in the dirt. He would sit down and throw it all over himself. If he wasn't doing that he was grabbing the peaches from the buckets and was throwing them all over the place. He really liked all the balls he had to throw around. We didn't like it very much.

Our Little Girl

Kaelen to me has always been a very beautiful baby. I have always wondered if he looked like a girl if we dressed him in girl clothes. While we were in Boise Kaelen ran out of shorts and while his shorts were being washed we had to borrow some from Ainsley while we went fruit picking. They were denim with flowers. I made the comment about what he might look like in girl clothes. Wendy brought out a pink shirt for me and we put it on him. He looked so pretty. It was amazing what just changing the color of the shirt does to a baby. The best was that Wendy then brought out a bow for Kaelen's hair. He really looked like a little girl. It was pretty funny. Fortunately he knew that he wasn't a girl and did not like the bow in his hair. He pulled it out rather quickly and then cried. His days of being a girl were over. I did what I had wanted to do for a while and now have probably caused hours of therapy in the future. I hope you enjoy our little girl as much as we did.

Boise Trip - Football Game

For the labor day weekend we went to Boise to spend time with Noal and Wendy and to watch the Boise State football game. We drove to Boise Wednesday evening. The kids were going to miss 2 days of school for this trip. We figured that this was an okay time to miss 2 days. School had just started and so they weer still reviewing things.

Thursday evening Boise State played the Oregon Ducks. Boise played Oregon last year in Oregon and won so this year Oregon was ready for payback. This has been a much talked about game for 6 months now. Enoch and I were very excited to get tickets to it. We bought season tickets because there were going to be no tickets available for the public. We bought extra tickets to this game and other games to sell for more to make up the price we paid for the game. So if everything works the way we want we won't have paid anything for this Oregon game. The game was completely sold out.

This year in the stadium they have asked that people wear certain colors in the area you are sitting in. We sat where we wore white. Enoch surprised me with a Boise State shirt. The games started late too. Kick off was a 8:15 PM. Enoch and I had really good seats. We sat at the 50 yard line on the side of the press box and a little more than half way up. We could see everything so clearly. It was awesome.

The game was a good game. Not the best because both teams made many errors but Boise States defense was awesome. Just before the 2nd quarter Org eon had only 6 passing and rushing yards and no 1st downs. That is pathetic. By half time they only had 14 all together.

Boise won the game. The most talked part about the game which was sad that it was really the only thing talked about since they did win was the Oregon player that punched a Boise State Player in the face. After it happened which we didn't see they showed it on the big screen over and over again. Well the crowd started booing the Oregon player and he got even more mad and tried to attack some of the fans. Because of the incident he is suspended for the year and his chance of playing in the NFL is gone. So stupid that he let some comments and losing effect him so badly.

Enoch and I had so much fun though. We loved being at the game. We also loved that Noal and Wendy watched our kids for us so we could see the game.

Enoch very excited to drive to the game. We have flags for our car that we have for game day as well as a nice big sticker on the back window, our fiesta bowl sticker (we went to that so we had to have it on the car) as well as magnets now. Yes we are fans.

New Glasses

Rachel surprised us all on Monday by calling in the middle of the day saying that she was having a hard time reading her school work and reading the board. She said that everything was fuzzy. I called Enoch at work to ask his opinion. He said that he would find out stuff about our insruance and then would call me back. He called me a little later saying that Rachel had an eye appointment at 12 noon. We are leaving for Boise today (Wednesday) and we didn't want problems while we were there. I got her out of school just before lunch and took her over to the eye doctors. We had her eyes checked by another doctor in December because she had been complaining of her eyes hurting. The doctor had said that she was a little near sighted but nothing to even worry about. She could still see far and we didn't need to come in for another year or more. Because of what the doctor said we opted out on optical insurance for Rachel for the 2009 year. Luckily though the appointment is covered under medical.

Well she did need glasses. She is near sighted in the right eye and has a astigmatism in the left eye. She wasn't too bad but bad enough to get glasses. So we picked out some glasses for her. I was so hesitant because of how much they were going to cost. I even ran over to Walmart to look at their glasses. We didn't find any that we liked so we got ones from the doctor. The nice thing about getting them from the doctors was that they could have them ready for her the next day. They also had a coupon for $65 dollars off. I was happy that it wasn't over $200 for her glasses.

She picked out some small dark purple metal framed glasses. They are really cute on her. I was hoping to get a picture of her in them yesterday with her hair flat ironed straight and in her shirt and tie that she wore the first day of school. No such luck. I did get pictures of her this morning though as she headed out the door. She loves them and looks cute in them. She also can see really well now. No more blinking 100 times while talking to you or watching TV.

Rachel also has an appointment with the orthodontist on Tuesday. She should be getting braces soon. I told Rachel that she would be a geek with her braces and glasses. She then told me that glasses and braces were cute and all of her friends that have braces and glasses look awesome. I guess I felt like a geek when I had glasses and braces. Glad she doesn't feel that way.

Oh yes and Jacob cried when he found out that she was getting glasses and he wasn't. He was so mad. He really wanted glasses too. Kids are so funny.
