I have always like Jon Schmidt. Well I really like this video/song he did of cold play's song and one from Taylor Swift. Really cool. Enjoy watching and listening.

Everybody should go and check this video out. Sorry it wouldn't let me put the actual video on my blog. The video is from British Got Talent.

Our New Bathroom
A few weeks ago I decided to redo our bathroom and bathroom cabinets. Rachael came over and helped me glaze the cabinets. They look so awesome. I was so scared at first to do them because I knew that if i ruined them I would be stuck with them. They turned out perfect. I also repainted the bathroom. It was a ragged brown color and now it is an awesome blue. I have my chocolate brown towels and am getting a chocolate brown shower curtain. The bathroom is not completely done either. I still have to put up another towel rack, buy new knobs for the cupboards and hang up the art on the wall. I am hoping in the next while to get it all done so I can then start on the master bath. These are pictures of Kaelen and I sanding the cupboards and then the after of the bathroom. Kaelen loves to help out and he loved sanding. Enjoy because I know I do.
Kaelen helping me sand the bathroom cupboards. If you look you can see the wall color before we painted.

Happy Easter.. A Week Ago.
We had a really good Easter this year. On Friday before Easter we decorated Easter eggs together. It was really fun. The kids were very creative. On Saturday the Easter bunny came. We always have the Easter bunny come on Saturday. The Easter bunny filled the kids Easter baskets with Candy and we each got a movie. We got Wall-e, Bedtime stories, Nancy Drew, Dark Night and Transformers. Then Enoch and I bought the kids a spring/Easter gift. We bought them a trampoline. We have wanted one for years. The kids will go to friends houses or Grandpa and Grandma's house and always jump on their tramps. We finally bought one. It is a really nice one too. It came with netting around it. It will be nice for Kaelen. I don't have to worry about him trying to climb off or even fall off. The kids when they saw it screamed. They were very excited. It came in a very large box and we had a blanket over it so the kids wouldn't see it. Rachel said that she had thought that it was a piano bench. When I asked if she would have been happy with a piano bench she said that she would have been. She was very happy with the trampoline but would have loved a piano bench. Funny girl. She really is into piano. She is still very excited to practice and loves Thursdays because she has lessons.
On Saturday evening Annelise, Boyd and Mom and Dad Heileson came over for a wonderful Ham dinner. It was so good. We had ham, scallop potatoes, asparagus, salad and then for desert pecan pie. We had a lot of fun together.
Sunday the kids got new outfits. Rachel got a dress and Jacob got a shirt and tie with new pants. The kids looked cute together but I actually never took pictures of them together. Oops. In the evening we went over to Mom and Dad Heileson's for their annual Easter egg hunt. We all barbecued meat and had side dishes to eat. After wards we sent the kids on an Easter egg hunt. They all had 10 eggs to find in specific colors. They had a lot of fun. After wards the adults went and found their eggs. It was really fun. Joseph and Chuck hid them. We as always had fun running around finding eggs and trying to beat each other. This year the person with the most eggs got to pick the first prize and then the person with the next most and so on. We really enjoyed ourselves.
We had a really good Easter. We ended the Easter holiday with a spiritual Easter egg hunt. The kids went around looking for eggs and in each egg was a scripture and item to go with the scripture. Rachel and Jacob really enjoyed that and taking turns reading the scriptures. It was a good way to talk about our Savior and his death and Resurrection. The kids enjoyed talking about that. We hope that they thought of the real reason we celebrate Easter for a little bit instead of the Easter bunny.

Kaelen lookng at his basket. He got snack foods instead of chocolate. He did get a bunch of little suckers though. Mmm his favorite.
Kaelen getting ready to look for his own eggs. We put three empty ones on the grass for him to play with. He was excited to find his "balls".
I love this picture of them all looking at their baskets and seeing what they got in their eggs. They all got candy and then money as well. A few eggs had quarters and dollars bills in them.

And He's Off
Kaelen has started to walk. It is so exciting and sad because once they start walking they are no longer little babies. Kaelen took his first step months ago. He took it on February 24th, 2009. Since then he has just taken two or three steps here or there. Since his birthday and standing with his ball popper he has started to walk. It took him only 24hrs from getting his ball popper to walk. On Monday the 6th he started walking about 5 steps at a time. He would walk from one point to another. On Tuesday he walked across the room. If you place him across the room from a toy he will walk to the toy. Every time he walks he seems to get better at it. He will stop himself from falling at times. It is so cute to watch him walk. He still crawls everywhere too but it won't be long before he just wants to walk. He really hates wearing shoes and so it will be interesting to see when he decides that it isn't fun walking with out them.
He cannot stand up in the middle of the room yet. He has to be somewhere where he can pull himself up to standing and then he will walk. My good friend DeAun said that her son when he was a boy walked for about 3 months before he figured out out to stand up in the middle of the room. I think that we might be like that. He has not tried yet to stand up in the middle of the room. He still will just find something to pull himself up too.
Kaelen yesterday was carrying this stuffed dog that my parents bought for him around the house. He would hug it as he was walking. It was the cutest thing. I tried to get a video of it but he threw it down once I started filming. Oh well we will try again. We are so proud of him though. We all love just sitting around watching him walk. It is so fun.
Kaelen walking just a little bit. He is a little wobbily in this video.
In this video Kaelen walks across the room. I love how he will shuffle with his left foot. He does not have perfect balance yet to walk normal yet so he will step with the right foot and shuffle the left. So very cute.

It looks like Spring
Well you can always tell that it is spring because the snow is gone but also the neighborhood is full of kids playing outside. I love it as do my kids. I also love that my tulips are coming up and it just feels fresh outside. On Sunday in between General Conference Enoch took Jacob and Kaelen outside to play in the backyard. Kaelen played on the teeter-totter with Jacob, swing on the swings and went down the slide. Kaelen was squealing and having so much fun. He actually would go down the slide all by himself. It was the craziest thing. Enoch would put him at the top of the slide and then Kaelen would push himself down the slide and we would catch him at the bottom. I don't know many 12 month old's that can do that. It was so fun to watch.

Kaelen Turned 1
On Friday April 3rd Kaelen turned 1 years old. I can't believe that he is already 1. This last year has flown by. On his birthday we didn't do tons. Enoch went to Utah for general conference with the deacons (12- 13 year old boys), so we didn't celebrate his birthday on his birthday. I did buy him some balloons. He LOVED them. He played with them all the time and would continually say ball while doing his sign for it. I did take him to get weighed and my tiny little boy was 19lbs 10 oz and 30 inches long. I still can't believe how little he weighs. I am used to Jacob's 25lbs at a year. In the evening Rachel, Jacob and I took Kaelen to Toys r' us where the kids picked out Kaelen's birthday presents for him. We also went and ate pizza at Sam's club. Gotta love their pizza. Kaelen ate his first churro their and loved it.
When we got home from pizza and shopping the kids gave him a new bath toy. It is a basketball net for the bathtub. It came with three balls for it as well. Kaelen was so excited to get in the tub and play with his new toy. It didn't take him long to be a pro at throwing or placing the balls in the net. It is a fun toy and he loves it because he can say what it is.
We did get him presents though and a cake but we did all of that on Sunday. We had Grandpa and Grandma Heileson come over as well as the Blackburn's, Bowman's and Gregorie. We had a nice dinner and then gave Kaelen his presents and cake. He got some adorable outfits from his Heileson and Fisher Grandparents as well as Pj's from the rest of the family. From Rachel and Jacob he got this little tool kit that has a hammer and different shapes. You use the hammer to pound the shapes through their correct spots. They also got him a little play electric drill and camcorder. Kaelen was excited when he opened them. He actually didn't open them his brother and sister and cousins did but he was excited when he saw them. Enoch and I got him this little ball popper toy. It is the best toy ever because of the balls. Kaelen says ball all day long and so he loved it. One of the best parts about getting it was the box. There is this little baby on it and when he saw the little baby he got so excited. He climbed on top of the box and put his face right up to it. It was so cute. The other awesome thing about the toy is that Kaelen will stand at the ball popper for about ten minutes. It is so cute. I have said that I think that he will be walking in the next week because of it.
For Kaelen's cake I made a little blue block. He didn't destroy his cake like I thought that he would have. Instead he ate all of the frosting off of it and tried to push it off of his highchair tray onto the floor. The cake was a really good apple sauce spice cake (thank you Wendy for the recipe). Kaelen didn't really care for the cake though. I was hoping that he would rip the cake apart like Jacob did but he was a little more polite with it.
Not the best picture but you can see Kaelen playing with his balloons.

On his Birthday playing with one of his favorite toys. He loves his piano. Enoch says that we have a baby grand and this is Kaelen's baby grand.
I think that Kaelen in this picture is excited about the bow on the present and not the present itself. This was a present from Rachel and Jacob.
I love this picture. This is when he saw the baby on the box and got excited to see it. He climbed right on the box and played his head on the babies. He was so cute.
I think that his cousins had a little more fun with the toy at first than he did. All the kids swarmed the toy and played with it.Getting sung Happy Birthday to.
Eating his cake. Grandma was trying to steal a bite too.
He tried to push the cake off the tray so I took it away. He was so sad. I gave it back to him though and he was happy. Didn't try to push it off after that.
Standing and play with with his ball popper. Look at how well he is standing. He has never stood that long before until he got this toy and now he will stand for 10 minutes for more at a time.Over all we had a wonderful birthday for Kaelen. We all really loved it. Thank you all for making it so wonderful. Thank you for the phone calls, the gifts and the Lopez's and Knechtel's for the awesome cards. You all made his birthday so special for us. Also thank you Rachael Blackburn for letting us celebrate both your birthday's together. I forgot to mention that at the beginning.
