It's a Party

Rachel on January 30th had her friends birthday Party. It was so much fun. We did a movie theme party. I spent many hours the day before decorating the basement. I took Christmas lights and placed them allover downstairs. I strung them from the ceiling and put them on the entertainment center. Then hanging from the lights I hung stars. I also hung curtains between the family room and playroom downstairs. I added a red carpet (red table cloth) for them to walk on as they came downstairs and into the room. It looked so awesome. I also had a table set up with drinks in ice, carrots sticks and celery sticks in ranch dressing, chips, peanuts and pizza. I also made a really cool cake. I made a clapper cake that said "Take 10" on it. I loved how the place looked. I would have loved a party like this as a kid.

All the girls drew names out of a pile of 30 names or so and that was the character that they were to be in the movie they were making. Instead of watching a movie the girls were the actors/actresses in a movie they were going to make and then after they made the movie they would watch it. Some of the names they girls picked were: Pedro, Spiderman, Miley Cyrus, Cinderella, Jane (from Tarzan), Sleeping beauty, Cruella De'Vil, Nick Jonas, Elasta Girl. I don't remember what the other names were. Enoch and I had fun coming up with the characters names.

Jacob was the ninja well actually Nick Jonas and this was his outfit.

Rachel opening one of her presents. She got the Jonas Brothers newest CD in this picture. I have never seen somebody get more Hannah Montana stuff in my life. Her friends really know how much she loves Hannah Montana so all but three got her something Hannah Montana. The crazy thing was that she didn't get one duplicate. I was so impressed. She got everything from Miley babrie, Oliver doll (boy barbie), stuff for hair, books, purse that lights up, bath stuff, Hannah Montana journal and pen that sings. She loved everything. She was really spoiled from all of her friends.

Rachel's friends singing Happy Birthday to her.

The girls eating popcorn and watching the movies they made. The girls also did commercials and talk shows. The talk shows were about people with weird fears. Some of the fears were afraid of bubbles, paper, the color green, money, bunnies, food. It was fun to watch. All the girls seemed to have a fun time. At the end of the party when all the girls left they went home with a box of junior mints or junior carmels or Zours (movie theater size) and a package of microwave popcorn. We put them in a gift bag with a little note saying thanks for coming. Aftwerwards Rachel kept saying how much fun she had and that it was the best birthday ever. I enjoyed myself too especially because I left it mostly up to the girls to do stuff. I would come down once in a while to supervise and then ofcourse to film.
