Rachel and Jacob started school on the 21st of August. It was an exciting day for the both of them. Jacob woke up early that morning yelling "it's the first day of school, it's the first day of school." (Very finding Nemo) It was very cute. He actually went to sleep after that and slept for a while longer. Rachel is in the 4th grade and loves it. Her best friend is in her class. Actually this year both Jacob and Rachel have male teachers. They really like their teachers.
Jacob started Kindergarten. That was a little hard for me. He is so little. It is hard to believe that he is kindergarten. Jacob's teacher has already commented on Jacob not wanting to participate because he is bored. I am sure that he is. He has been reading for over two years now and so learning the alphabet and numbers must be boring for him. He received a booklet that the kids are supposed to have done by the end of the year. There are sixty lessons in the book. Jacob in a week of school has now completed more than half of it. He will have it done next week. He is just too smart.
I am a little sad that the summer is coming to an end but excited for my kids to have a fun year at their schools.
