Kid's Decorating Trees

Our kids have their own Christmas trees that they get to put in their rooms every year with lights and little ornaments. They always have fun doing it. It is fun to watch them put the lights on their trees and ornaments. They are so different at decorating their trees. Rachel is so precise and Jacob just throws the lights on and even when he is precise his ornaments all end up clustered together.

Jacob's Spotlight

Jacob last week had his turn for the spotlight at school. Every week a child is picked to bring in some pictures of them as a baby and their family and stuff. They are also asked to bring in some family members to talk about them. The family members can also play a game with the kids, or read them a story. Pretty much what ever they like. You are given a half hour to talk about your child. Well we all went as a family for Jacob's spotlight. We made a poster of things about Jacob. We had things from what activities he likes to do to pictures of him with his cousins. We also added some crayons and paper on the poster because of how much he loves to draw. We played the name game with the kids. It's the game where you come up with the name of a famous or well known person and then you write it on a piece of paper. Well somebody reads all the names and then you guess which name everybody picked. We tweaked it a little bit so it was easier for a bunch of 5 year old to play. It was really fun. The kids enjoyed it. We played this game all Thanksgiving week and so Jacob wanted us to play it with his class. We also brought a book of Jacob's. Jacob doesn't have a favorite book so he just picked one that he likes to read. The book Jacob picked was "click clack Moo cows that type." Jacob was the one that read it to his class. Jacob loves to read and so we thought that it be appropriate for him to read it. We had so much fun in his classroom and he enjoyed having us their. When we left we gave the teacher little boxes of crayons and dum dum suckers to hand out to each of the kids. Crayons because of how much Jacob loves to draw and then suckers because every kid loves candy. Oh yah by the way Jacob was finally tested in his reading and he reads middle of the year 2nd grade. We are so proud of him. He is getting books from the library at his reading level and his teacher is giving him books to come and with and read and other things for him to do to help him improve. We are happy about that. We sure are proud of our little Jacob.

He's crawling

Kaelen for a couple of weeks has been getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth. Well the other day he actually crawled. November 24th to be exact. He only took four steps then. We were so proud. Well then on Thanksgiving he actually crawled more and then the next day he crawled across the room. Thanksgiving day he went from crawling to sitting up, It was so exciting. I love watching him grow. It is exciting but sad at the same time. I can't believe how big he is getting. Since he started crawling a few days ago he crawls everywhere. Yesterday he ventured into the playroom. He was so excited. We now have to keep an eye on him now.

Kaelen on all fours November 18th and November 21st.

Happy Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving Mom and Dad came to visit. Noal, Wendy , Morgan and Ainsley came for dinner as well as Boyd, Annelise and Sara. We had a really fun Thanksgiving. We had way too much food but tons of fun.

Dad sat down with Noal and Wendy and showed them pictures from when Dad lived in France as a child. Noal and Boyd sitting on the couch together. I am sure that Boyd was playing with is stuffed horse before I took that picture.

Noal and Dad together. Annelise and Rachel stuffed the turkey. It was funny to listen to them scream as they stuffed it.

Sara looking so cute. Wendy went up and kissed Boyd. The funny thing was that at first he thought that it was Annelise. Wendy was laughing so hard after wards. Poor Boyd got redder and redder in the face the more Wendy laughed.
I really couldn't resist. When I saw how large the bowl of potatoes was I had to make it like close encounters. Wendy made me a alien repelling hat. I was going a little crazy and we wanted to keep the aliens away. Wow two movies in one. Dad was busy on the computer. Can't get enough Solitaire Dad!

After the kids saw my hat they had to make one too. Rachel and Morgan said that they were unicorns instead of trying to keep the aliens from reading their minds.

Jacob was so funny in this picture. He was laughing so hard and looked so cute. I couldn't resist eating the large bowl of potatoes.
Sitting down for our Thanksgiving dinner. Kaelen was so excited to sit and eat a roll.

Rachel, Jacob and Morgan were excited to eat pies. We had five pies. Enough choices. Ainsley and Kaelen loved playing with each other. They had fun sitting together. I think that Kaelen enjoyed having somebody to grab at and not run a way like the dog does.

Mom and Kaelen. It was finally towards the end of their visit that Kaelen wasn't afraid of Mom and Dad.

Cute Stuff

These pictures I thought were so cute. Enoch and Kaelen are wearing the same clothes almost and then both wearing suits. I also loved this picture of Rachel and Kaelen together.

Kaelen and his Dad in matching shirts and both wearing hats. Kaelen sitting in his high chair smiling real big.
Enoch and Kaelen both in their suits, Rachel holding Kaelen. They both look so cute.

GO HILLCREST!

On November 21st we went and watched the State Championship High school football game. It was Hillcrest vs. Jerome. We were cheering for Hillcrest. Hillcrest is the high school in our neighborhood. The quarterback on the Hillcrest team is in our ward as well as three other boys. We thought that it would be fun to drive the 50 miles to Pocatello to watch the game. It was a really late game so we didn't get home till almost 1 am. The kids loved it though. Hillcrest had not won one game in three years and then this year they got a new coach and they ended up going to state. They won as well. 55 to 35. It was a really close game at one point but they ended up getting a head and staying a head the rest of the game. They scored a touchdown every time they had the ball. We loved the game and the kids had so much fun.

Blowing Raspberries

This is a funny video of Kaelen. He loves to blow raspberries and while he does he likes to spit. He will try to spit as much as he can. It is so funny. Enoch was laughing so hard when I filmed Kaelen doing this. I had many different video's to pick from. In this one Enoch isn' really laughing. It is funny though. Enjoy and watch out for the spit.

Kaelen has actually stopped doing this. I am so glad that I filmed it.

Funniest Noise

Kaelen makes the funniest noise with his mouth. We have no idea how he does it but he does it all the time. It almost sounds like a pig or frog. He will just sit and play and while he's playing he makes the noise. We finally recorded it for all to hear.

Happy Halloween!

Kaelen in his puppy dog costume. We have the cutest little puppy.

Jacob at his school 'spooktacular'. They had a parade and then a carnival all afternoon. It was so much fun.

Kaelen and Jacob eating ice cream at the 'spooktacular.' Kaelen loved the ice cream

At the spooktacular they played this racing game. They timed all the kids as they raced on these bikes that you don't have to peddle. You just move the stirring wheel back and forth and you propel forward. They separated the kids times by k-2 and 3-6. Jacob had the fastest time. Not only did he hve the fastest time in his category but he had the fastest time in the whole school. The next day they announced on the intercom that Jacob had won and that he needed to come and get his prize from the office. He won this awesome yellow race car. He was so excited. He said that when he got back to his classroom everybody wanted to know what he got. He is so proud of his car. We are pretty proud of Jacob. I still can't believe that he had the fastest time in the whole school. "GO JACOB!"

Rachel and Rachael at school for their Halloween parade and party. They were both mimps. They were both evil fairies that capture good fairies and put them in jars. I made Rachel's tu-tu and Rachael's mom did hers. We bought the wings at the same place. The girls had to be twins.

Halloween Day we made sugar cookies and carved pumpkins. There was no school Halloween so we had a fun day at home doing things together. Enoch also doesn't work on Fridays so we all were home to hang out together.

Rachel and Jacob carved their pumpkins themselves. They designed them and then cut them out. We hepled Jacob with the cutting but he drew the face on himself.

Rachel wanted to be an evil fairie again so I made her hair really crazy. I was laughing so hard at how high it was. It rocked.

When Kaelen woke up from his nap and saw Rachel as I was doing her hair he was freaked out. He totally started crying. He was so upset. I have never seen him like that before. He was actutally afraid of Rachel because of her hair.

Our kids outside the house before tirck or treating. The weather was so warm. They didn't have to dress warm at all. It was so nice. Rachael came with us. Our Rachel was an evil fairie again and Rachael was a good fairie.

We had so much fun trick or treating. We loved it. The kids got tons of candy and we all enjoyed ourselves. Enoch and I took turns taking the kids out. Kaelen even went trick or treating for an hour.

The first two pumpkins are Rachel's that she did herself. The other one is one that Enoch did.

The first pumpkin is Jacob's that he did himself. The other one is Enoch's. I acutally did not design a pumpkin myself. I assisted in the cutting of pumpkins and was busy baking pumpkin seeds. YUMMY!

Jacob and Rachel with their pumpkins. We loved Halloween this year. It was such a blast.
